Leofric wasn't sure when he stopped going to school. His mom had lectured him through all of dinner about... maybe a week ago, but that didn't mean much. She hadn't mentioned it since.
It wasn't like he was dropping out on purpose, anyway. His teachers kept getting annoyed at him for missing class - when he didn't think he had - and getting out of bed in the morning just got harder and harder with all the nightmares and tiredness and before he realized it, he'd stopped going and his mom was lecturing him over spaghetti.
And then there were days like today, where he woke up dressed and halfway across town with no idea how he'd gotten there. He checked his pocket; no phone. No wallet. Same as always. (He made a joke to himself once about having a secret split personality that fought demons, then promptly found himself six miles away and three hours in the future and decided it was not a good joke to make. That's also why he'd stopped watching anime. And reading manga. And doing kendo...) And his arm was itching again.
Leo fingered the bracelet again, pushing it up a bit. The skin under it was looking irritated again; he glanced around warily and hastily switched the carved wooden chain to his other arm. He didn't know why it was important, but... well, the one time he tried taking it off, weird things started happening. The television shorting out, more... blackout things or whatever, things like that. So... yeah, itchy or not, he wore it.
Right now, though, he had to figure out where he was so he could go home and get something to eat. He scanned the area; it looked like he'd gotten all the way downtown today. No bus money, that meant a long way back.
With a resigned sigh, he started walking.
