A just-teenage boy lay on the floor of the dorm, reading a comic with his feet propped up against his desk and long blond hair spread out in a semicircle.
"Did you finish your homework already?" Basil, who was sitting at his desk in front of his History homework, shot the question balefully at him.
Kouveig - the blond boy on the floor - waved a hand vaguely. "I'll do it later."
Basil sighed and rolled his eyes. "Just because your parents are two of the teachers doesn't mean you can try at least a little."
"Hey, my parents don't go easier." Kouveig lowered the book onto his chest and looked up at his friend indignantly. "They're even tougher on me than you guys!"
"Then why aren't you doing your homework?"
"'Cause I already did my math." He went back to his book. "There's plenty of time for the rest."
"You know I'm not letting you read mine until you're done, not this time."
"Mmhm."
Absorbed in his reading, Kouveig didn't notice when one of his other classmates approached from across the room. Basil opened his mouth to say something, but she hushed him with a gesture before stepping over to Kouveig and in one smooth motion snatched the book from his hands.
"Hey!" He tried vainly to grab it. "Give it back, Ella."
"There's plenty of time for you to read," Eloisia replied sternly. "After you do your homework."
"Aw come on, can I just finish the chapter?" He looked up at her with an adorable sad-puppy expression. "Please?"
She was unmoved. "After your homework."
Basil was watching the exchange in amused satisfaction.
Kouveig sighed. "You're just as bad as my mom," he grumbled, rolling onto his feet and stretching. "Fine, I'll do my stupid homework."

It wasn't actually intended as such, I was just amused that I liked the character whose name you asked me for so very much.
