Right after getting home from moving Eriko into her new home in Boom Town

Yesterday, Leofric would have agreed with Cya's observation. Heck, that morning he would've said yeah, he was much better. He could handle seeing Eriko again. Now that he had...
Leofric leaned on the kitchen counter, pressing his forehead into his hands to fight against a splitting headache. It had been fine – mostly fine – going into the room, seeing her, sitting and talking to her, and then... and then he was back in her dorm room at Addergoole, reassuring her, telling her something was wrong, trying to tell her but she wouldn't listen--
He pulled himself back to the present, forcing himself to stand up, take a deep breath, and think about Today. Not the conversations in the past; the one they'd just had today. The one where she had listened. He replayed it in his mind; her realization of what had happened, of what he'd been trying to tell her all those decades ago.
It was okay-- no, he corrected himself. It wasn't okay, but he could manage. And he would be okay, eventually.
Leofric took another deep breath and smiled. Cya was right. He really was getting better.
